Afterward, we will see the Historical Stone Bridge, located on the Seyhan River, panoramically, and then we will visit one of the most important mosques in the region, the Adana Sabancı Central Mosque. The 32-meter diameter main dome corresponds to the 32 obligatory prayers, the 28 domes in the courtyard correspond to the 28 prophets mentioned in the Quran, the 40 windows in the main dome correspond to the age of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and 40 units of prayer, and the 99-meter 6 minarets correspond to the 99 beautiful names of Allah. After visiting this architectural marvel, we bid farewell to Adana and head to Halfeti.
  •
  • After the construction of the Birecik Dam, part of Halfeti submerged under the dam lake, we will take a boat tour with those guests who wish to join us. (Extra) During our cruise on the dam lake, we will see the Cave of the King’s Daughter, Rumkale and the Mosque and Minaret of the Savaşan Village submerged in the waters of the Euphrates. After completing our boat tour, we have a short break in Halfeti. After our break, we move towards Şanlıurfa, known as the City of Prophets, where Prophet Abraham was born and thrown into fire, Prophet Job endured trials, and Prophet Shu'ayb worshiped.
  •
  • When it comes to Şanlıurfa, one of the first places that come to mind is the Pool of Abraham. The Pool of Abraham is located to the southwest of Şanlıurfa city center and is known as the place where Prophet Abraham fell when he was thrown into the fire. It is one of the most visited places in Şanlıurfa with its sacred fish and historical artifacts surrounding it. After visiting the Pool of Abraham (Halil-Ür Rahman) and Aynzeliha Lake, which is said to be formed from the tears of the daughter of Nimrod, we will take a photo break and then provide free time for you to purchase local products unique to Şanlıurfa. After the free time, we will head to our hotel. Guests who wish can participate in the traditional music evening organized to get to know the local culture.

  • On the 3rd Day of the GAP Tour with Malitur, after having our breakfast at the hotel, we depart from our hotel to move towards Harran, which means "the place where roads meet." Harran is protected for its Cone-shaped Dome Houses, found only in three regions worldwide. We will view the Harran University (Grand Mosque), the Harran Mound, the Castle, the Caravanserai, and the traditional conical dome Harran Houses where guests can visit one while wearing traditional clothes and take pictures in the guest house. After our visit to Harran, we move towards Göbeklitepe. We arrive at Göbeklitepe Mound, which hosts the first temples of civilization in Anatolia and the World, near Örencik Village in Şanlıurfa. With its discovery, Göbeklitepe, dating back 12 thousand years, has changed not only the history of the region but also the history of humanity and was featured on the cover of National Geographic magazine worldwide with the slogan “The Birthplace of Religion.” After receiving information from our guide about Göbeklitepe, which has only a small part excavated and is considered a pilgrimage center of the Neolithic era, we complete our Şanlıurfa visit and head towards Mardin.
  •
  • We start our Mardin tour with the Kasımiye Madrasah. The madrasah, which began construction during the Artuqid period and was completed during the reign of the Akkoyunlu Sultan Kasım Ibn Jihangir in the late 15th century, will be visited while we receive information from our guide. After taking photos, we proceed to Old Mardin. We will get off our vehicle at the Diyarbakır Gate and start walking through the streets of Old Mardin. On our walk starting from Republic Square, we will see Sheikh Çabuk Mosque, Mardin Protestant Church, Latifiye Mosque, Sokulbar (Cow Market), and Copperworkers' Bazaar. During our walk, we will visit Mardin Grand Mosque, one of the architectural examples of the Artuqid era, with the guide. The Mardin Grand Mosque, with its segmented dome and minaret, is a symbol of Mardin and is recorded as being constructed with two minarets in 1176. However, the existing minaret was constructed in 1888/1889 in a new eclectic style. According to some Syriac authors, it is said to have been converted from a church. Whether the structure was converted from a church or not, it is likely that an ancient church existed at the site. After receiving information from our guide, we continue our walk through tunnels connecting the streets, known as Arches. We will see the Şahtana Mansion, which was used as a former PTT building and recognized as such. We will visit the Şehidiye Mosque, built in the early 13th century by Artuqid Sultan Melik Nasreddin Artuq Aslan, and have a short break to enjoy tea and take magnificent photos against the backdrop of the Mesopotamian Plain. We then head toward our hotel for dinner and accommodation.

Following our shopping at the telkari workshop, we will have free time to wander among the Historical Midyat Houses. After our free time, we meet our bus waiting for us in the market for a break to shop for local dried coffee and nuts. After our shopping, we move towards Hasankeyf.
  •
  • In historical Hasankeyf, which dates back 12 thousand years, a new settlement has been established 3 km away after the construction of the Ilısu Dam was finalized. During this tour, we will share the sadness of Hasankeyf, which was submerged in February 2020, while viewing the still majestic Hasankeyf Castle, the minaret of El Rızık Mosque, and the caves before we give free time. Subsequently, we will move to Diyarbakır, the oldest and rooted city in the south-east, driving past all its first oil wells in Batman and seeing the oil pumps panoramically.

After the daylight reveals the giant deity statues, our guide will begin with explanations. At the summit, you will find the Tomb of King Antiochos I. There are giant statues made of Zeus (Oromasdes), Apollo, Mithras, Helios, Hermes, Heracles, Artagnes, Ares, Kommagene, Tiche, and himself, made by King Antiochos on the east and west terraces. King Antiochos has clearly established the traditions of Greek-Persian religion and culture in these works. After receiving necessary information from our guide, we remember Antiochos's will and enjoy the exquisite sunrise experience. Our guide’s explanations completed, we will descend from Mount Nemrut. After descending, we will visit the Cendere Bridge, one of the most magnificent bridges of the Roman period, built 18 centuries ago, and will stop for photos. Afterwards, we will proceed to Karakuş Tumulus, where the graves of King Mithridates and his family are located. •
  • After breakfast at the hotel, we will depart for Gaziantep. Upon our arrival in Gaziantep, our first visit will be to the Zeugma Mosaic Museum.
  • Zeugma, founded by the Seleucids, which means "to bring two banks together" in Roman terms, was submerged underwater due to the Birecik Dam, and the floor mosaics of the Roman villas have been removed and exhibited at the Zeugma Mosaic Museum. Opened on September 9, 2011, in Gaziantep, and with a mosaic area of 1700 square meters, it is the third largest mosaic museum in the world. We will explore the museum and see the world-famous "Gypsy Girl" mosaic as well as mosaics inspired by Greek mythology, with the guidance of our guide. After our visit to the Zeugma Mosaic Museum, we will board our bus and head to the city center. In the city center, we will vertically see the Gaziantep Castle built on a hill. Although its construction dates are unknown, it is known to have been used for observation during the Roman period. After a short photo break, we will see Sedefçiler, Spice sellers, Vegetable Market, Historical Pasha Inn, Tahtani Mosque, Long Bazaar, Historical Customs Inn, Zincirli Bedesteni, and Shoe sellers' Bazaar before we reach the Copper Bazaar. After that, we will reach Tahmis Coffee. After our free time, we will take a short break to purchase the famous baklava and pistachios of Antep.
