  • Day 1
  • Trabzon – Maçka – Altındere National Park – Sumela Monastery – Hamsiköy Rice Pudding – Hagia Sophia – Telkari and Kazaziye Workshop – Atatürk Pavilion – Knife Workshop – Trabzon
  • After our morning flight, we meet at Trabzon Airport with our guide and head to our bus. We reach Maçka and make a stop for breakfast.

 

  • After breakfast, we start our tour with Sumela Monastery. We arrive at the Sumela Monastery, located within the Altındere Valley formed by the Coşan Stream, passing through Maçka, which means "the place with plenty of rain" in ancient Greek. The monastery, standing about 300 meters above the valley, is one of the oldest churches in Christianity. Known among the public as the Virgin Mary, it is believed to have taken its name from the Greek word “melas” meaning black. We explore this historically significant site with our guide. After completing our visits here, we meet our bus and move towards the facility where we will taste the famous Hamsiköy rice pudding. After enjoying our rice puddings, our next stop will be Trabzon Hagia Sophia.

  • Trabzon Hagia Sophia was built as a church by King I. Manuel, who founded the Empire of Trabzon, between 1250 - 1260 and was converted into a mosque by Sultan Murad III in 1584. After our guide’s explanations, we move to the workshop where we will learn about the telkari and kazaziye art that has been passed down since the Ottoman period. We spend some free time at the Telkari and Kazaziye Workshop, which combines different designs with the noble metal silver through handcraft. After our shopping, we move to the Local Products Store to shop for regional products like butter, cheese, and honey. After some free time for tasting and shopping in the store, we proceed to our restaurant for lunch, where we can enjoy the famous Akçaabat Meatballs.

 

  • After lunch, we head to the Atatürk Pavilion. The architecture and garden of the Atatürk Pavilion, which was visited twice by our Great Leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk in 1924 and 1930, and where part of his will was written in 1937, will impress you. We explore the Atatürk Pavilion with information provided by our guide. Following that, we move to the knife workshop to learn about and shop for the handmade Sürmene knives that hold an important place in the local culture. We gather information about the hand-crafted knives that have been passed down through generations and make our purchases. After shopping, we move towards our hotel for dinner and accommodation.

  • On the second day of our tour, we start with breakfast at the hotel, and after that, we visit the Tea Factory where we can taste the most delicious teas of the Black Sea. After learning about the tea-making process and touring the factory, we have some free time for enjoying the teas and making purchases. Then we proceed through the routes of Of-Çaykara-Taşkıran, moving along Solaklı Stream and Valley, reaching Uzungöl which is a set lake formed due to landslides blocking the river. We will make a brief tour with our guide, followed by some free time in Uzungöl. During this free time, guests may join the Lustra-Karester Plateau tour, which offers a bird's eye view of Uzungöl.

 

  • (Depending on weather conditions and local density, the Lustra-Karester Plateau Tour will be performed as a priority; if obstructed by weather, an alternative tour to Haldizen Stream - Demirkapı Plateau will be offered. One of the two tours will be conducted as a group.)

  • Lustra-Karester Plateau Tour (Extra): We board our waiting minibuses in Uzungöl, and first, we reach Lustra Plateau, located at an altitude of 1900 meters. After taking some photo breaks, we climb to 2300 meters where we arrive at Karester Plateau after a short walk. Here, we will have free time to take spectacular photos, enjoy tea, yogurt, and milk, or try the famous rice pudding from Trabzon. After our free time, we return to Uzungöl by minibus.

 

  • After meeting our bus in Uzungöl, we continue towards Rize. We have lunch and arrive in Çayeli. We visit the Rize Weaving Workshop, which is known for its famous cloth, and after receiving information about weaving and yarn, we have free time to shop. The essential feature of Rize Cloth is that it absorb sweat from the body, making you feel cool and dry like an air conditioner. After our shopping break, guests may board the waiting minibuses for the Haremtepe Çeçeva Tea Gardens tour.

 

  • Haremtepe Çeçeva Tea Gardens Tour (Extra): In Çeçeva Village, between endless tea fields, you can dress in local costumes, and take beautiful photos with tea scissors and baskets.

 

  • After the Çeçeva Tour, we pass through the Pazar district and reach our facility in the Fırtına Valley. Here we have some free time to sample local delights such as muhlama, Laz pastry, and trout; you can also participate in adrenaline and exciting activities.

 

  • Rafting on Fırtına River (Extra): If you love adrenaline, this exciting activity will be even more enjoyable on Fırtına River. You can experience entertaining moments in approximately 1.5 hours and immortalize this fun with the photos taken.

 

  • Zipline on Fırtına River (Extra): You can participate in an exciting activity by crossing from one side of the Fırtına River to the other by steel cables.

  • After our activities in Fırtına Valley, we move to Ayder Plateau. Once there, we will get off the bus to see Gelintülü Waterfall, which is named for its resemblance to a white veil, cascading hundreds of meters down. After that, we will have our free time in Ayder Plateau. During free time, you can take unforgettable photos with stunning views or sip your morning coffee. Once our free time ends, we settle into our hotel for dinner and accommodation.

  • On the third day of the Doğu Karadeniz Batum Tiflis Kars Erzurum Tour, after breakfast at the hotel, we head to Ayder Plateau. We may organize a tour to Huser Plateau with guests wishing to join.

 

  • Huser Plateau Tour (Extra): (In cases where the Huser Plateau Tour cannot be conducted due to weather conditions, the alternative tour of Kavron Plateau will be offered.) We start a fun-filled tour from Çamlıhemşin by boarding our minibuses, promising incredible views. If the weather is cloudy, you will be enchanted by the sea of mist; if the weather is clear, you can see the shining Kaçkar peaks, Avusor, Kavron, Verçenik, and Samistal Plateaus. The Huser Plateau Tour takes about 2.5-3 hours.

 

  • After the Huser Plateau tour, we take some free time in the lovely district of Çamlıhemşin, where guests can choose to join the extra tour of Zilkale, Çat Valley, and Palovit Waterfall.

 

  • Zilkale, Çat Valley Tour (Extra): We take our minibuses for an entertaining tour filled with stunning viewpoints. We enter Çat Valley, one of the two valleys that form Fırtına Valley. As we pass through Ortan Village, we will arrive at Şenyuva Village, better known as Çinçiva, where many TV dramas such as Sevdaluk have been filmed. Here we take a brief photo break at Şenyuva Bridge. We then move toward Zilkale, which rises in the wilds of Çat Valley between the Fırtına Mansions. The castle’s eagle-nest-like appearance will captivate you. Once we reach the castle, which is situated 750 meters above sea level and 100 meters above Çat Stream, we will receive information about its history from our guide followed by free time. You may explore the castle and take magnificent photos against the backdrop of the enchanting greenery. After our free time in Zilkale, we return to Çamlıhemşin in our minibuses.

 

  • After the Zilkale tour, we reach Hopa via Fındıklı – Arhavi direction. After having lunch in Hopa, we set off to Borçka for the Karagöl Tour with our guests.

 

  • Borçka Karagöl Tour (Extra): In Borçka, we will board our minibuses for about an hour’s journey through a tunnel of trees until we reach Karagöl. This lake formed as a result of a landslide in the 1800s near present-day Klaskur Plateau, offers incredible nature and rich oxygen, capturing your heart. You will experience moments where time stands still with its lush vegetation. After approximately one hour of free time, we gather back in our minibuses and return to Borçka. We continue on to the Sarp Border Gate.
  • After completing our entry procedures at Sarp Border Gate, we cross into Georgia and board our awaiting bus to begin our tour. First, we will have a panoramic view of Gonio (Apsaros) Castle, which contains the tomb of St. Matthias, one of the 12 Apostles of Jesus, from the Roman period, and which was used most recently during the Ottoman period. As we continue toward Batum city center, we will see the Çoruh River originating from Erzurum flowing to the Batum borders and the ancient Çoruh Bridge across it. During our journey along Batum Boulevard, we will have a panoramic view of the buildings constructed in the Soviet architectural style along with the newly built areas in Batum, ultimately reaching the city center.

 

  • Upon arriving at the city center, we start our walk by first visiting the Middle Mosque, the only surviving structure from the Ottoman era, built in 1886, where we can see magnificent door decorations made by Laz masters. Next, we will visit St. Nicholas Church, then reach Piazza Square which reminds one of European town squares. Piazza Square, with its interesting architectural structures, appears like a small Italian town. After taking photos here, we will walk towards Europe Square. During our walk, we will see the Astronomical Clock Tower and the Armenian Apostolic Church, entering Europe Square. In Europe Square, we will see the Medea Statue, which reflects the mythological face of the Caucasus, and after receiving information from our guide, we will get a view of the Theater Building. Then we see Poseidon, the Sea God statue, among other attractions such as what is known as the Çaça Tower, a replica of Izmir's Clock Tower. Finally, we arrive at Batum Port to see the statue of Ali and Nino, a couple whose love story inspired films, and learn their story from our guide. We conclude our tour with the 130-meter-high Alphabet Tower that symbolizes the Georgian alphabet and its people’s freedom, then have some free time on Batum Boulevard. We will have dinner and then take the bus back to our hotel.

  • On the 4th day of our Doğu Karadeniz Batum Tiflis Kars Erzurum Tour, after breakfast at the hotel, we board the bus to reach Gori via Kobuleti - Kutaisi - Khasuri. Gori is a small industrial town founded by Georgian King David, and the birthplace of Joseph Cugashvili (Joseph Stalin). We visit the Stalin Museum and then head to Mtskheta, the ancient capital of Georgia, protected by UNESCO, located where the Kura and Aragvi Rivers meet. We take a panoramic view of Mtskheta and Jvari Monastery and then explore Svetitskhoveli Cathedral. We take photographs of this holy church that houses the bell tower, fort, priest quarters, and the tomb of Tbilisi's founder King Vakhtang Gorgasali. Afterward, we move on to the capital city of Georgia, Tbilisi. Upon arriving in Tbilisi, we will explore the Holy Trinity Cathedral with the largest capacity in the Caucasus.

 

  • After our tour of this magnificent structure, we descend into Old Tbilisi, one of the oldest cities in Asia, located along the Kura River. Here we will see the Sulfur Baths, Narikala Fortress, Metekhi Church, the statue of King Vakhtang Gorgasali, Juma Mosque, the waterfall in the city, the underground bazaar, and Tbilisi Square before we have some free time along Agmashenebeli Street, known for its beautiful architecture from the Tsarist period, which hosts the Georgian Parliament, Post Office, Opera, and Philharmonia buildings and see St. George's Golden Statue.

 

  • Those guests interested can meet with our guide at a determined time in the lobby and enjoy an evening dedicated to the Kafkas culture, tasting Georgian cuisine during the Georgian Night. (Extra)

  • On the 5th day of our Doğu Karadeniz Batum Tiflis Kars Erzurum Tour, after breakfast at the hotel, we follow the Kura River to reach Borjomi. We taste the famous soda and have a quick look at Akhaltsike (Ahiska), inhabited by Abkhazians, then we arrive at Posof Türkgözü border gate where we complete our exit from Georgia and entry into Turkey.
  • We meet again in our vehicle, passing through Posof – Hanak – Damal directions to reach Kars. We will have a city tour in Kars, which, despite being in the far east of our country, is in fact the westernmost part of the Caucasus, possessing both eastern and western characteristics. We will visit Kars Castle, the Kümbet Mosque (12 Apostles Church), Kars Stone Bridge, and the houses where famous poets, such as Namık Kemal, once lived while exploring Kars’s streets under the guidance of our tour guide. We will also visit the Fethiye Mosque, which was a church but now serves as a mosque exemplifying Russian Baltic architecture. Afterward, we visit a local products store to buy Kars’ famous cheese and honey.
  • We will then proceed to our hotel for dinner and accommodation.

  • On the 6th day of our Doğu Karadeniz Batum Tiflis Kars Erzurum Tour, following breakfast at the hotel, we set off for Ani Ruins, located at the Turkish-Armenian border, which was a significant meeting point of Armenian and Seljuk cultures. Once the richest city in the region a thousand years ago, you will quickly grasp its prominence through the sacred structures present. We will see its Walls, Gates, Surp Pirgiç Church (Keveli Church), Surp Kirkor Church (Tigran Honents Church), Cathedral (Meryem Ana Church), Small Bath, Ebul Muhammedan Mosque, Sultan Palace, and the Ipekyolu Bridge while learning from our guide.
  • After these visits, we observe the Arpaçay River from high above, serving as the border between the two countries, and bid farewell to this magnificent historical site as we proceed towards Sarıkamış.
  • As we ascend the Allahu Ekber Mountains, you will be entranced by the stunning scenery that will greet you. After taking in the panoramic view of Sarıkamış, where 90,000 martyrs fell, we will finally reach Erzurum. Our first stop for lunch will be the famous Cağ Kebap. After our meal, we begin our journey through Erzurum sightseeing. Erzurum is one of the largest cities in Eastern Anatolia and is known as the highest city center in Turkey at 1900 meters above sea level. All the ancient structures in Erzurum are made of volcanic basalt rock.
  • We begin our exploration with the Congress Building, where the foundations of our Republic were laid from July 23 to August 7, 1919. We will take a look around this structure built in 1864, which now operates as a museum for paintings and sculptures. After visiting, we go for the famous cağ kebab of Erzurum.
  • After lunch, we will visit the magnificent Çifte Minareli Medrese—one of the most beautiful samples of Seljuk architecture. Following this, we will continue to the Three Tombs, a remarkable example of monumental graves in Anatolia from the Saltuk period. We will admire the architecture of the Ulu Mosque in Erzurum, noteworthy for its ceiling craftsmanship.
  • We will then visit the Old Erzurum Houses, which form an ethnographic museum, and after a tea break, we will complete our tour of Taş Han, a prominent point of Ottoman architecture that also hosts the famous Oltu stone shops followed by continuing towards Erzurum airport. After check-in and luggage procedures, we conclude the Doğu Karadeniz Batum Tiflis Kars Erzurum Tour and bid farewell, hoping to meet again on another tour organized by Tura Tura.

In cancellations and changes made between 29 and 15 days prior to the tour date, 30% of the reservation fee will be deducted; between 15-7 days, 50% will be deducted; for cancellations and changes made within 7 days or less, 100% of the reservation fee will be deducted. • Guests who have purchased the Cancellation, Refund, and Guarantee Package can cancel their purchased package tour without stating a reason until 72 hours before the tour start date without any deductions. The full amount paid will be refunded based on the payment method after cancellation. The Cancellation, Refund, and Guarantee Package does not cover flight tickets. • Museum passes and entrance fees are not included in the tour price. All museum entrance fees are to be paid by the guests. INFORMATION ABOUT BATUM According to the agreement made between the Republic of Turkey and the Republic of Georgia, Turkish citizens can cross into Batumi with their identity card bearing their Turkish ID number. It is not possible to cross with identification cards other than identity cards (driver's license, institutional IDs, etc.). Guests under 18 years of age who are not traveling with both parents (mother and father) must obtain a notarized consent document to cross into Batumi. Identification documents must include photographs, including for infants and children. Identity cards should not be worn out and must not be older than 10 years. Officially, as of 01.09.2020, entry into Batumi with old identity cards is not permitted. Guests are required to carry their identity cards with Turkish ID number. The exit fee of 710₺ must be paid by the guest. The tour company is not responsible for issues that may arise at the Georgian border due to deformities in identification documents. Foreign guests who have entered Turkey with a passport must have obtained a multiple entry visa for Turkey to go to Georgia and return to Turkey. Additionally, entry will be provided according to the visa protocol that Georgia has with the countries of issuance of the passports or identities. Citizens of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) can enter Turkey using their Turkish ID cards and thus can enter Georgia with their Turkish ID cards. KKTC citizens who enter Turkey with a European Union passport must also have obtained a multiple entry visa to return to Turkey. CANCELLATION, REFUND, AND GUARANTEE PACKAGE The Cancellation, Refund, and Guarantee Package allows guests who have purchased a package tour to cancel and make changes without providing any reason until 72 hours before the start of the tour. After cancellation, the entire amount paid for the package tour will be refunded without any deductions, according to the payment method. The Cancellation, Refund, and Guarantee Package does not cover flight arrangements in tours. Guests who wish to purchase this package can add it to their reservations during booking. MANDATORY TRAVEL INSURANCE NO. 1618 The mandatory travel insurance No. 1618 covers the collapse of the agency or any reasons leading to the service not being provided in the package tour. It is included in the tour fee. It does not cover health insurance and does not cover treatment costs. Special health insurance is the guest's responsibility. Our vehicles do not have earphones. In vehicles equipped with TVs, we recommend bringing an external charger as charging your phone may reduce battery life.
