- After breakfast at our hotel, we begin a full-day tour of Kyoto. First, we visit the Kinkakuji Temple, a Zen temple completely covered in gold leaf and representing the pinnacle of its kind with its pond garden design, which is on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Next, we explore Fushimi Inari Shrine, where scenes from the movie "Memoirs of a Geisha" were filmed. The shrine is dedicated to Inari, the deity of rice, and features more than a thousand Torii gates. On the path adorned with Torii gates and fox statues, believed to be the messengers of the god Inari, you will witness the ancient roots of Japan. Then we visit Kiyomizu-dera Temple, where it is believed that the water flowing from the Otowa Falls is sacred. Built in 780, Kiyomizu-dera takes its name from the pure waters of Otowa Falls. The wooden stage, built without using nails and standing 13 meters high from the slope, offers the most beautiful view of Kyoto. After exploring the historical region of Kyoto and the famous Geisha district Gion, we return to our hotel in Osaka. Overnight at the hotel.
