Upon arrival at Tunis airport, we transfer to our hotel with our private bus waiting for us at the airport. During the city tour, we will see places such as Bourguiba Boulevard, where you'll feel as if you're in France, the St. Vincent de Paul Cathedral built in the 19th century, the statue of Ibn Khaldun, one of the famous Arab scholars of the Middle Ages, and the clock tower considered the symbol of Tunis. Afterwards, we depart for our tour of Nabeul. In the capital of ceramics and pottery art, while strolling through the mystical streets of Nabeul, we will see many objects unique to Tunisia, such as copper, leather, embroidery, and cradles. After that, we head towards Hammamet, known as the Saint-Tropez of Tunisia, built by the sea and offering magnificent views from its rooftop terraces. In Hammamet, we will see long, clean beaches, azure waters, magnificent parks, luxurious gardens, castle walls, streets, and a grand mosque that has preserved the city's rich history. - After breakfast at the hotel, we have free time. Guests who wish can join an optional tour to Kairouan & El Jem & Monastir (80 Euro). We move to Kairouan to visit the Great Mosque of Okba Ibn Nefaa, considered the ancestor of all mosques in the Maghreb and one of the most important Islamic monuments. This universally acclaimed architectural masterpiece is also classified as a UNESCO World Heritage site. We will also visit the Aghlabid Basins and finally the tomb of Sidi Sahbi. Then we proceed to El Jem. The amphitheater here is one of the best-preserved Roman ruins in the world. Built in the mid-third century AD (AD 230-240), this monumental amphitheater is the largest Roman monument remaining in Africa and ranks third in the Empire after those in Rome and Verona. It is one of the last major amphitheaters built during the Roman period, and its architectural design is an improved version of the Colosseum in Rome. First, we will head to explore the ancient city of Carthage. Founded by the Phoenicians and listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site, we will discover 3,000 years of Roman, Byzantine, and Crusader relics following the trail of the famous Carthaginian commander Hannibal. Carthage, home to various ancient structures and ruins, reflects its rich history through thermal baths, temples, and walls. Next, our tour continues with a visit to the Bardo Museum. The museum has an extensive collection of exhibits, where Roman mosaics are particularly striking. Each mosaic, with its intricate designs and vibrant colors, tells a unique story from Tunisia’s diverse past. Afterward, we will head to Tunisia’s historic Medina district.
